Good work! I just put in some work on my car's finish this weekend and I can't stop staring at it.

Detailing is a great skill to have.

great job! Do you find sealant to give better results than regular wax?

Depends, carnauba wax will give a better glow hands down. Sealants will last far longer. There's some expensive sealants out there that would fool most people. If I had a show car I would use a mix of the 2. Larry Kosilla showed a method of putting carnauba over sealant and it looked pretty good.

I usually do clay, a light polish, and finally a carnauba wax which usually lasts me about three months. I've got a bunch of light scratches so I'm thinking about a more aggressive polish but I wanted to make sure I protect the paint from more

Then you'll want a sealant. What do you use to polish?

my wife got me a Griot's garage kit a few xmases ago. It came with their Machine Polish 3 (1-4, 4 being the lightest) and their "best of show" carnauba wax, and also their random orbit polisher. I think I might get a bottle of their polish #2 and sealant for the Fall

So you have the 6inch DA? I would buy a microfiber cutting pad and foam polishing pad through chemicalguys. Order one of their sealants. Try Larry Kosilla's line for paint correction at AMMONYC.

Sealant will definitely offer more paint protection. I'm planning on sealing mine with a that and a few layers of wax for the winter.

Check out autogeek.net for sealant reviews, I might go with Wolfgang brand someone on Oppo recommended it and it's got some good reviews.

Yeah sealant sounds like what I want to try, along with a more aggressive polish. Black paint is fun for about fifteen minutes.

It's hard to maintain but you've got the DA so you're way ahead of the game
